David Harkins picked up a passion for real estate at age 17 when he helped his father remodel one of his grandfather’s rental properties. In the early 1990’s he combined his love of real estate, research, and marketing into a market research firm specializing in market analysis and site selection. His only problem: He couldn’t sell or buy the real estate once he identified the best site for a client. Ten years and three states later, David made the time to get his North Carolina Real Estate license. He is a North Carolina Broker and Realtor® affiliated with Keller Williams Charlotte Ballantyne Area.
David’s career spans industries as diverse as retail, financial services, business consulting, nonprofit, software, technology, and even apparel. The common thread through his work is his ability to identify emerging market opportunities and his skill for driving sales to capture the market, while helping others attain success, too.
He is a seasoned negotiator with a thorough understanding of marketing and sales, project management, retail business operations, demographics, and market analysis. For nearly 30-years, he has helped clients successfully achieve their business objectives. David has managed complex multi-million dollar projects, built businesses from the ground-up, and advised many well-known companies. As a management consultant with a particular focus on sales and marketing, he has helped clients create significant new revenue streams, streamlined operations to save more than millions annually, and achieved seven-figure cost reductions through his approach to contract negotiations, to name a few of his client successes.
David holds a Bachelors of Business Administration degree and Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship degree. In his spare time, he enjoys the outdoors, travel, photography, writing, and painting.
